Artist Oh Jeong reinterprets traditional moon vases as contemporary abstractions, exploring the relationship between illusion and reality, matter and light.
The Moon Vase is expanded as a philosophical medium that embodies the ambivalence of memory and existence, and through materials such as light, mother-of-pearl, and gold leaf, it embodies a surface that moves between the boundaries of plane and three.
The repetitive process of manual work leads to a meditative act in which time and thought are accumulated.
The artwork connects tradition and modernity, prompting reflection on life and the universe.
