How are you all doing?
The heat in August is hard on the body.
Our meals during breaks have become all about cold noodles💦
The theme for this issue is
How to save on air conditioning in the summer and prevent heatstroke in the city
is.
Speaking of summer, we tend to be surprised by the cost of air conditioning (´;ω;`)
With electricity prices rising so much these days, we wanted to save a little, so we looked into ways to reduce our air conditioning bills (lol).
Please share it with everyone!
Tips for reducing air conditioning bills
① Clean the filter once every two weeks. "Even if you say that..." "I'm busy!!" This is a tip that you may hear a lot of people say! (^^)!
Air conditioners take in warm air and blow out cool air, so it's important to create a path for the air to pass through!
The best way to remove dust is with a vacuum cleaner or by washing with water!
② Don't block the air outlet of the outdoor unit . This is less stressful than cleaning.
The outdoor unit is responsible for expelling indoor air. If the air outlet is blocked, the released hot air will be taken in again, significantly reducing the cooling efficiency.
When using the air conditioner, be sure to remove the outdoor unit cover!
3. Leave it on and switch it on and off frequently . It's often said that leaving it on will lower your electricity bill, but it's true! However...
It's probably best to turn it off when you're going out for more than 30 minutes.
Use them wisely to enjoy a comfortable air conditioning life (o^―^o)
(Sorry if this is common knowledge 😿)

It's hot, but I want to go outside! I want to go outside and save on my electricity bill! I'm sure there are many of you out there who feel this way.
If you are such a person, then this is the one for you!!
Cool share spot!
Cool Share Spots are places set up by Yokohama City where you can escape the heat (〃▽〃)
There are many cool share spots that are easy to get to, such as community centers, sports centers, libraries, and shopping facilities!
For details on the opening times and conditions of use of each location, please refer to the "Beware of heat stroke" page on the Yokohama City official website.
This initiative will run from June 1st to September 30th of this year (2024)!
It's still hot in the summer, so this is the perfect place to take a short break when you're out and about in Yokohama.
Even if you go outside to save on air conditioning, it's no good if you end up suffering from heat stroke. Instead of forcing yourself to spend time outside in the heat, why not try using a cool share spot for a short break?
Don't refrain from using the air conditioner, but be careful of heat stroke and get through the summer!
