This is Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama-Totsuka!
The temperature is finally starting to drop and we can feel autumn approaching.
...or rather, the seasons are changing so quickly that it's already feeling chilly lol
Well, this time we would like to introduce some delicious gourmet food that is within walking distance of our hotel, perfect for this season!
Our hotel is the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama-Totsuka.
Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama-Totsuka...
Fresa Inn Yokohama-Totsuka...
"Yokohama" Totsuka...!!
That's right! Totsuka is in Yokohama city!! (Boom!)
And when it comes to Yokohama gourmet food that's perfect for the chilly season, it has to be "Iekei Ramen"!
Iekei ramen is Yokohama's soul food, and the basic version consists of pork bone and soy sauce soup with chicken oil floating on top, short, thick noodles, and toppings such as roast pork, spinach, and three pieces of nori seaweed.
Surprisingly, there are a lot of family-style ramen restaurants around our hotel, so it is no exaggeration to say that this is a ramen battleground!
Among them, one of my favorite ramen restaurants is "Matsuichiya"!!
By the way, at the Totsuka store, we not only have counter seats, but also private rooms!
When ordering on the touch panel, there are menus for women and for students,
There are great discounts available for women and students!
Also, this is very embarrassing to say, but I actually prefer miso ramen to the Iekei style!!
And here at Matsuichiya, they also serve a miso-flavored ramen called "Original Miso Tonkotsu"!!
Others include soy sauce pork bone, salt pork bone, and the ultimate chicken broth ramen.
They all look delicious!!
In addition to ramen, they also have a wide variety of rice dishes such as their Golden Tsukemen, Gyoza and Rice Set, and Green Onion Rice Bowl!
This time I ordered my favorite, the original miso tonkotsu ramen, with a seasoned egg as a topping.
It's the best! It's no exaggeration to say that it's the perfect item for me! (That's an exaggeration haha)
By the way, I am allergic to green onions, so they kindly removed them before cooking.
The rich aroma of deep-flavored red miso and the strong flavor of the miso...!!
And spinach does a great job!!
This flavorful soup is a must-try for miso lovers, and the spinach is mixed in surprisingly well!!
The spinach, soaked in the flavor of miso, tastes even better than the noodles.
It was so delicious that I honestly think so!
This time, I chose less oil and the firmest noodles, as this is my personal preference.
The flavor wasn't too strong and the noodles had a great texture - it was fantastic!
After enjoying the delicious meal, I left the restaurant and tried to take a photo of the Hotel Exterior of Matsuichiya,
It was just lunchtime, so the store sign and flags were not up and we were still in the middle of preparation.
It is located very close to our hotel, just a 1-minute walk if you go straight.
Even if you have to take a slight detour depending on the time of day, it's still within 3 minutes!
It's a great opportunity to stay in Yokohama.
If you are interested, why not try Matsuichiya's Iekei ramen at least once?
