This is the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kamakura-Ofuna higashiguchi! (∩´∀`)∩Yay🍵
Part 2 of the recommended spots in Kamakura!
This time we will introduce Engakuji Temple!
It's a famous temple, so you might think it's a little late to mention it now (^ω^)...
In fact, you can practice zazen at Engakuji Temple!!!
Of course, zazen is also offered at other temples, so please feel free to come and visit as per your preference.
Engakuji Temple holds Zen meditation sessions for beginners, so even first-timers can easily participate. There will also be English-speaking attendees, so even international visitors can enjoy the experience!
I went there recently and it was a new temple with a great atmosphere.
What's more, the keisaku has been revived!
It's what they call a tap on the shoulder.
It's super painful (but gentle on women), but it really tightens your body ⊂⌒~⊃。Д。)⊃
At the end of the session, the head priest will give a talk and there will be a question and answer session. If you ask about your everyday worries, he will give you some ideas on how to think about them.
Why not try this to refresh your mind?
